Toadies Tickets- Time to Get Grungy!
If you are a fan of an obscure type of music and want to hear some sounds that are different from all the ones that you hear on the radio, make sure to get your pair of Toadies tickets before they all run out. The band is most well known for their 1995 smash hit “Rubberneck” and 2001’s “Hell Below/Stars Above.”
The band was first formed in 1989 in Ft. Worth, Texas and they began recording a few cassette singles. Rubberneck turned out to be their first full length album and they produced their most successful single “Possum Kingdom.” Some other singles that have proved to be popular among fans include: “Away,” “Tyler” and “I Come From the Water.” After all of their massive hits they toured extensively throughout the 1990s and they previously opened for such artists as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Zombie and Bush. They toured for many years, much to the joy of their fans, but afterwards went back to the studio to continue recording.
Their second full length album is called “Hell Below/Stars Above” and it was released in the spring of 2001. The Toadies went on to break up shortly after the release of this album, although right afterwards a live album was released called “Best of Toadies: Live from Paradise.” After some time apart, the band decided to regroup for a reunion show on March 11, 2006 and they headlined the St. Patrick’s Day parade concert.
The current members of the group include: Todd Lewis who is in charge of vocals and guitar, Mark Reznicek on the drums, Clark Vogeler on the guitar and Mark Hughs on the bass. Their albums that have thus far been released include: “Rubberneck,” “Hell Below/Stars Above,” “Best of Toadies: Live from Paradise” and “Rock Show.”
